Collaboration with BioGaia
In 2007 Biolife NZ partnered with Sweden’s BioGaia – the world leader in probiotic health supplements to develop a brand new product, the new Natrapure probiotic colostrum powder sachets. This collaboration is a result of Biolife NZ's never ending pursuit for innovation and value added products for our consumers. Natrapure probiotic colostrum powder was once again the first of its kind to enter the Chinese market with a double immune enhancing property. The product had the combined health benefits of colostrum with the specialized probiotic L. reuteri protectis, a culture clinically proven to enhance immunity in children.BioGaia is a world leader in probiotics thanks to over 20 years experience in the field of probiotics, having created a global network of leading independent researchers and specialists, in-house experts, and commercial partners active in over 50 markets worldwide. Their products combine the well researched probiotic bacteria Lactobacillus reuteri (L. reuteri) and top of the line engineering to develop one of a kind delivery systems that match consumer needs. L. reuteri is a “good” and friendly bacterium that helps battle the “bad” micro-organisms in the digestive tract improving the host's health.
This collaboration is a substantial step forward in the development of Biolife NZ product portfolio, whilst also connecting New Zealand business to the rest of the world. The new partnership with BioGaia will allow Biolife NZ to remain at the forefront of innovation and product development in China and will no doubt significantly enhance the long-term growth prospects for both enterprises.
